Hulk Hogan’s legendary career in professional wrestling is certainly one for the ages, but the Hulkster is known to bend the truth and make huge claims from time to time. In fact, he claimed that he earned more money than Andre the Giant.

Hogan and Andre were undoubtedly two of the most iconic and larger-than-life stars in WWE during the mid-80s. Their WWF World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania III is often regarded as one of the greatest in history. Although the match wasn’t a technical marvel, it was a massive spectacle that played a significant role in WWE’s record ticket sales.

While speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, Hulk Hogan claimed that he made more money in wrestling than Andre the Giant. Hogan explained that in the past, wrestling was all about how much money you made and how far you traveled.

Hogan noted that during WrestleMania III, he earned a lot more than Andre and was glad Andre never found out. Hogan emphasized that if someone made more money than you, it was a real thing, not just part of the show.

“Bro, if I’m making more money than you, that’s for real. If I’m a babyface and my merchandise is selling more than yours, that’s a shoot. So this business back in the day used to be about the money and the miles… It’s how far you travel, how much money you make. But at the end of the day, if I’m like, WrestleMania III. God bless his soul. Andre. I made a lot more money than him. Thank God he never found out, you know? But that’s a shoot bro, if somebody’s making more money than me, I’m not going to go, ‘Okay, it doesn’t matter if I’m a heel and I make less money,’ that’s not a work to me, that’s a shoot.”

Hulk Hogan also thought that Andre the Giant genuinely wanted to kill him. Regardless, Hogan will continue to make tall claims and brag about a lot of things and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
