Bryan Danielson made a big impact last month by defeating Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at the All In pay-per-view. As he prepares for his first title defense at AEW All Out, the decision maker behind his opponent has been revealed.

During the August 28th edition of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed that Jack Perry would be challenging Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship at All Out on September 7th at the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Many fans were surprised by this decision and wondered who actually thought of it. Fightful Select reports that while Danielson will have some influence over his opponents during his final run as a full-time wrestler, Perry’s selection was made by AEW.

Regardless, we will have to wait and see how Jack Perry will fare against The American Dragon, as many fans feel it will be a mere palate cleanser and a solid start for Danielson’s reign as AEW World Champion.
