This year’s AEW All Out event is set for Saturday, September 7, at NOW Arena in Chicago, IL. With just two weeks between the All In pay-per-view and All Out, AEW quickly transitioned to build up the show and now their plans for the main event have been revealed.
The rivalry between Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland has been a major storyline in AEW over the past year. Their feud began in October 2023 and has continued with high-profile matches, including a violent Texas Death Match at Full Gear and triple threat match at AEW Revolution. They also faced off as rivals in this year’s Blood & Guts match.
It was then confirmed that Adam Page and Swerve Strickland will be squaring off against each other in a steel cage match at the All Out pay-per-view on September 7th. Naturally, fans are incredibly excited for the bout, which promises to be a violent spectacle.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez shared that the main event for AEW All Out is expected to be a steel cage match between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page. He mentioned that, according to the latest information he has, this match is scheduled to be the final match of the event. Alvarez also noted that he wouldn’t want to follow such an exciting match.
“At least as of the last I heard, which was, I think, Friday or something like that, the Swerve Strickland-Hangman Page steel cage match is scheduled to be the main event going on last. I certainly would not want to follow that match, but that’s just me.”
We will have to wait and see whether All Out will signal the end of Adam Page and Swerve Strickland’s feud, which began a year ago and truly gave some of the most memorable moments in AEW history.
