AEW has an almost limitless depth of talent from all over the world and various in-ring styles as well. However, due to the sheer size of the roster, it’s simply not possible to utilize each and every one of them every week. That’s why many talent remain absent for a long time and it appears one such absent star has been backstage during recent AEW television tapings.

Willie Mack used to be part of TNA Wrestling until he parted ways with the company back in 2022. He would eventually make his way to AEW and used to be used frequently, but that’s a thing of the past.

According to Fightful Select, there has been curiosity regarding Willie Mack’s status with AEW in recent months. Mack was reportedly backstage at several recent AEW tapings, though he wasn’t featured on the shows. However, he did compete in a Ring of Honor match last month, which was his first match since March.

Prior to his ROH match against Exodus Prime, Willie Mack last competed during a 12-man tag team match at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see if AEW will decide to use Mack somewhere down the line.
