Ricochet’s move from WWE to AEW has created a ton of buzz, especially after his impressive debut at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. Interestingly enough, Ricochet believes Triple H left the door open for his WWE return.

Over the summer, Ricochet decided not to renew his contract with WWE, marking the end of his time with the company. During the June 10th episode of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker stunned viewers with vicious attack on Ricochet. Breakker’s assault was relentless, climaxing in a brutal slam against a car that rendered Ricochet incapacitated.

Emergency medical personnel quickly arrived, evacuating Ricochet into an ambulance with Samantha Irvin at his side. This dramatic turn of events effectively sidelined Ricochet from WWE television.

While speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Ricochet talked about his WWE exit and mentioned that he had a conversation with WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H. He noted that Triple H appeared to have indicated that the door is open for his WWE return by keeping the storyline open-ended. However, it was understood that Ricochet had made up his mind about not re-signing, and the company provided him with a send-off that left his future uncertain, though they likely knew he wasn’t planning to come back

Yeah, I think going into it, I think (I knew how my time on WWE TV would end), and even later, me and Triple H had a little talk and he was just like, ‘Anytime –’ whatever. Because I just hadn’t re-signed and it was kind of like my last time there before the time ran up. I think they knew I just wasn’t gonna do it. So, I think they were just trying to give me a good out that made me, you know… something that was open-ended. What’s gonna happen? So I think they wanted to leave it that way but I think they knew that wasn’t gonna happen.

Ricochet also explained why he feels leaving WWE for AEW was the right choice. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see how Ricochet will be booked in the coming weeks, as there are a lot of expectations for his success.

Do you believe Ricochet will become a big star in AEW or will he return to WWE eventually? Sound off in the comments section below!
