Former WWE Superstar Nikki Bella is reportedly taking steps to end her marriage with Artem Chigvintsev following a serious domestic violence incident.

According to TMZ, Nikki has been actively searching for a divorce lawyer since Friday, with the intention of filing for divorce. This decision comes just a day after Artem allegedly attacked Nikki, resulting in physical injuries that led to his arrest on felony domestic violence charges. Nikki has not been wearing her wedding ring since the incident, including when she hosted the Chestnut/Kobayashi hot dog eating contest in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Sources also indicate that Artem is no longer staying at the family home and is currently living with a friend, while Nikki remains in the house with their 4-year-old son, Matteo.

The incident leading to Artem’s arrest occurred last Thursday when he called paramedics to request medical assistance for the alleged victim. However, he later canceled the request, but authorities still responded to the call. Upon arrival, officers reportedly observed visible injuries on Nikki’s body, which led to Artem’s arrest for felony corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant. He was released on bail shortly after his arrest.

Nikki and Artem first met in 2017 when they were paired together on Season 28 of Dancing with the Stars. Their romantic relationship began several years later after Nikki’s high-profile split with John Cena. The couple welcomed their son Matteo in 2020 and tied the knot in 2022, just days before celebrating their second wedding anniversary.

The situation remains ongoing, and more developments are expected as Nikki moves forward with her plans to end the marriage. Stay tuned to Ringside News, as we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
