Gisele Shaw has officially left TNA Wrestling.
According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Shaw recently requested her release from TNA, which was granted under the condition that she complete the Louisville tapings and put over another talent on her way out. That final match was reportedly filmed this past weekend.
The departure was described as amicable, with TNA management working smoothly to grant Shaw’s release without any resistance. This marks the end of Shaw’s nearly three-year tenure with the company, where she was involved in several high-profile feuds, most recently with Tasha Steelz.
While Shaw did not capture any championships in TNA, she competed for the TNA Knockouts, Tag Team, ROH Women’s World Title, AAA Reina de Reinas Title, and NJPW Strong Women’s Title during her time with the promotion. Additionally, she held the PROGRESS Women’s Championship during her tenure.
Gisele Shaw remains an active competitor and is already booked for Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling later this year. Sources within TNA expect Shaw to become a regular at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, indicating that her wrestling career is far from over.
Shaw’s departure from TNA opens the door for new opportunities, and it will be interesting to see where her journey takes her next.
