Damian Priest, one of the marquee attractions on WWE’s Monday Night RAW and a former World Heavyweight Champion, recently opened up about a unique opportunity he had during his rise in the wrestling world.

During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Priest revealed that he was asked to audition for a role in the popular Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever back in 2022. Priest confirmed that he had indeed landed a role in the film, though it was ultimately taken away from him. He clarified that the decision was not made by Marvel itself.

“It’s a long story but … basically … it got taken away from me, but not from Marvel. [Did you have the role?] Ya,” Priest shared.

There were rumors at the time that Priest auditioned for the role of Namor, a significant character in the Black Panther sequel. Although he didn’t make it to the silver screen, Priest’s admission that he secured the role speaks volumes about his acting talent and potential for future opportunities in Hollywood.

Since that time, Damian Priest has continued to ascend in the world of professional wrestling. He captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 and most recently secured a big win in a tag team match alongside Rhea Ripley at WWE Bash in Berlin.

While Priest may have missed out on the chance to appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, his career in WWE has continued to flourish. Fans are now left wondering whether he will pursue other Hollywood roles in the future, given his apparent talent and charisma.

Only time will tell if Damian Priest will step back into the acting world, but for now, he remains a dominant force in WWE.
