WWE just got back from another very successful European tour, one that capped off with their return to the United States for RAW in Denver. They are still going through the numbers of that tour, and Cody Rhodes did very well at the merchandise stand.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Cody Rhodes led the merch sales during WWE’s European tour, claiming the top spot internally, with CM Punk following closely behind at number two. The biggest seller at Bash in Berlin was Cody’s signed weight belt, which became the standout item of the event, generating significant fan interest and sales.
Cody Rhodes also had a custom German flag edition that he was selling for the Bash in Berlin premium live event. One can only imagine that shirt sold very well too.
“Cody Rhodes topped the European tour merch sales charts internally, with CM Punk at the number 2 spot. We’re told the highest grossing item at Bash In Berlin was the signed Cody Rhodes weight belt.”
This is no real surprise, because Cody Rhodes makes a ton of money for WWE. At the same time, he is also very likely to remain on top for a long time to come. Being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion has its advantages, and fans are still very much behind Cody Rhodes’ title reign.
