WWE is gearing up for another event at the Ball Arena in Denver, just one night after hosting NXT No Mercy in the same venue. A major show is planned for the red brand, but fans shouldn’t expect any explicit language in the Superstars’ promos, as WWE remains committed to maintaining its PG rating.

According to PW Insider, a mandatory meeting took place backstage in Denver before RAW, and the topic of discussion was quite noteworthy. They wanted to remind talent to watch their language.

It was reported that the key takeaway from the meeting was that talent were reminded to avoid cursing on camera. While no specific examples were given, the overall message was clear: stay within the boundaries of TV-PG programming.

Since WWE and UFC merged under Endeavor, things have changed significantly. Triple H’s creative leadership has given Superstars new freedoms, boosting morale across the roster. This newfound energy could elevate promos, but unless they’re as iconic as The Rock, it doesn’t look like Superstars will be getting the green light for much profanity.

It will be interesting to see how things evolve when RAW transitions to Netflix in January 2025. Until then, the show will remain on the USA Network, where restrictions on profanity remain in place. Although it has been confirmed that RAW will be uncensored on Netflix, this may only apply to fan chants rather than giving Superstars free rein to swear.

What do you think about WWE instructing their roster to watch their language on TV? Should they continue to be mindful, or should Superstars have more freedom in their promos? Let us know in the comments!
