ESPN’s Joe Tessitore is set to make his debut as a WWE commentator on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Ahead of the show, Paul Heyman has made sure to hype up his debut in a big way.
During the SummerSlam pre-show, it was announced that ESPN’s Joe Tessitore will make his WWE commentary debut on the September 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, with Michael Cole transitioning to Friday Night SmackDown.
Joe Tessitore will take on the role of play-by-play commentator on Monday Night RAW, with Wade Barrett joining him as the color commentator. This change is part of WWE’s ongoing efforts to refresh its commentary teams across its flagship shows.
WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman took to Twitter to create excitement for the debut of longtime ESPN analyst Joe Tessitore on RAW tonight. Heyman shared a photo of himself with Tessitore and made it clear it’s a big day.
