Odyssey Jones had a promising call-up to WWE’s main roster, but his progress had stalled for over year. His fortunes took a turn for the better with his impressive debut on RAW last month and he has been booked well since then. However, he was suddenly removed from WWE’s active roster page today and WWE’s internal reaction to the same has been revealed.
Odyssey Jones made his highly anticipated debut during an August episode of RAW, after being drafted to RAW the previous year. Since then, Odyssey Jones has been teaming up with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, sparking speculation that he could be set to fill Big E’s spot in the celebrated New Day stable.
As reported earlier, Odyssey Jones was removed from WWE’s active roster list. What makes Jones’ removal even more puzzling is that, unlike the Wyatt Sicks, whose profiles are hidden but still exist, Jones’ profile appears to have been completely deleted.
Sean Ross Sapp took to Twitter and noted that he received a message suggesting he check on any changes to Jones’ status, but he hasn’t heard back from WWE yet. Those he has talked to have been surprised by Jones’ absence from the roster page.
”Odyssey Jones is no longer listed on the WWE roster page. I got a message yesterday saying I should ask if there was a change in his status, but haven’t heard back from WWE yet. Talent I’ve talked to have been surprised by him being off the roster page”
We will have to wait and see whether Odyssey Jones’ removal from WWE’s roster page was simply a mistake or whether there is more to this story than initially thought. We’ll keep you updated on this situation once we learn more.
