WWE delivered an action-packed Labor Day weekend edition of Monday Night RAW, continuing the momentum of the Intercontinental Championship tournament to determine who will challenge Bron Breakker for his title next.

Six men were set to compete in two triple-threat matches, each vying for a spot in the quarterfinals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. The winners would advance to a fatal four-way match in the next round, with the ultimate prize being a shot at Breakker’s championship. Notably, the match involving Bronson Reed, Sheamus, and Ludwig Kaiser underwent some last-minute changes, adding an extra layer of unpredictability.

In the other triple-threat match, Dominik Mysterio sought redemption after his recent loss at Bash in Berlin, while Dragon Lee aimed to capitalize on his limited TV time and make a significant impact. Ilja Dragunov, still looking to prove himself on the main roster, was also determined to advance. With a shot at the prestigious Intercontinental Championship on the line, the stakes couldn’t have been higher for these competitors.

The match kicked off with all three competitors feeling each other out. Dominik Mysterio, still sporting a black eye from his match in Berlin, showed grit, but Ilja Dragunov shrugged off a chop from Mysterio and delivered an impressive double suplex on both opponents before the commercial break.

As the action intensified, Dragunov hit a powerbomb on Dragon Lee, only for Mysterio to capitalize with a splash, resulting in a near fall. The three wrestlers exchanged near falls, each desperate to secure their spot in the fatal four-way match and move one step closer to the Intercontinental Championship.

Dragon Lee climbed the turnbuckle, but Carlito interfered, leading to chaos as Damian Priest rushed down to chase Carlito away. In the commotion, Dominik Mysterio attempted to kick Priest, but his efforts were in vain, and Priest chased him out of the match. This left Dragunov and Dragon Lee to battle it out. Despite a brief misstep, they recovered, with Dragon Lee executing a powerbomb for a near fall.

In the end, Ilja Dragunov withstood everything Dragon Lee could throw at him. Dragunov sealed the victory with a massive shoulder block, earning his place in the fatal four-way match and moving one step closer to a showdown with Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.
