NXT No Mercy 2024 at the Ball Arena in Denver featured several title defenses, with the NXT Women’s Championship being a highlight of the night as fans eagerly awaited the outcome.

Roxanne Perez put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line in a singles match against Jaida Parker. While this matchup wasn’t initially anticipated by many, the build-up allowed fans to become more familiar with Parker and her potential as a challenger.

The journey to this match began on the August 13 episode of NXT, when General Manager Ava announced a No Mercy six-woman Gauntlet Eliminator match. The competitors included Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey, and Brinley Reece—none of whom had previously challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship. Jaida Parker emerged victorious, securing her opportunity to face Perez at No Mercy.

In the match, Parker aimed to prove herself, but Perez was determined not to let her set the tone. Despite Parker’s size advantage, Perez’s in-ring experience shone through. The match quickly spilled to the outside, where Parker attempted to carry Perez back into the ring on her shoulders. However, Perez countered by taking out Parker’s legs on the steps, regaining control.

Perez dominated the match for a while, thriving off the crowd’s reactions. Parker managed to turn the tide briefly with a powerbomb and followed up with several slams and a spinebuster, but Perez kicked out each time. Parker’s offensive flurry included driving Perez into the turnbuckle and delivering a top-rope drop, but she still couldn’t secure the win.

As the match progressed, Perez locked in a crossface but couldn’t fully apply the Rings of Saturn, allowing Parker to lift her and deliver a backdrop. After avoiding a splash attempt from Parker, Perez threw her through the barricade outside the ring. Perez then hit her signature Pop Rocks move on the barricade and followed up with another inside the ring to secure a clean victory.

This victory was a significant moment for Perez, further establishing her reign as NXT Women’s Champion, while Jaida Parker proved her toughness despite the loss.
