Wade Barrett Reveals What Kevin Owens Whispered in Cody Rhodes’ Ear on SmackDown

The feud between the allies, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens had them come face-to-face on SmackDown this week, taking place at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, one night before WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 PLE.

Both the champion and challenger seemingly threw their friendship out of the window ahead of the championship match at Bash in Berlin. The heated segment ended with a somewhat cliffhanger when Owens whispered something in Rhodes’ ear.

Since then, there have been multiple speculations regarding what Owens could have said to his Bash in Berlin opponent. As the Premium Live Event kicked off in Germany tonight, WWE commentator Wade Barrett gave his take on the situation.

As both men entered the ring, minutes before they started landing blows, Wade Barrett, who was on the commentary desk, revealed that Owens stated that Cody Rhodes was the one who asked for this to happen.

“Don’t forget, you asked for this Cody.”

The Undisputed WWE Championship match opened the PLE, and as Owens told Rhodes, he brought every ounce of his fury into the match in hopes of claiming his first singles WWE title in seven years.
