Bayley, one of WWE’s top female Superstars and a record-holder for the most days as Women’s Champion in modern WWE, had been notably absent from television following her loss to Nia Jax at SummerSlam. She finally returned on SmackDown this week and it appears her absence was already planned.

During her absence from WWE television, Bayley had been actively participating in WWE’s ongoing European tour. It was then reported that she was perfectly healthy during her absence.

According to Fightful Select, Bayley was not sidelined with an injury after SummerSlam. Instead, she was simply not scheduled for TV appearances, as confirmed by sources within the company.

Bayley made her return during the August 30th edition of Friday Night SmackDown and thwarted Tiffany Stratton’s possible Money in the Bank cash in. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for Bayley now that she’s back in action.
