Drew McIntyre has been on a powerful winning streak for months, with his rivalry with CM Punk being a major focus on WWE television. Although McIntyre defeated Punk at SummerSlam, their feud is still ongoing. McIntyre broke the internet by taking a photo with Jack Perry and now McIntyre revealed how it all came together.

CM Punk has a long history with AEW star Jack Perry for good reason. Last year, CM Punk was fired from AEW following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at the All In pay-per-view.

Prior to SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre shared a photo of himself with Jack Perry, captioned “Cry us a river,” which made it clear that McIntyre has escalated his trolling of CM Punk to a new level.

While speaking to Gorilla Position, Drew McIntyre was asked how his photo with Jack Perry came together. Drew McIntyre shared that while on a flight to Los Angeles, he noticed Jack Perry sitting just in front of him.

After chatting with him and finding him to be a lovely guy with a nice girlfriend, McIntyre suggested they take a picture together since they’re both wrestlers. He thought it would be fun to post it online and give Perry some extra attention, which ended up causing quite a reaction.

“On the same flight, he was just right in front of me. I had a chat with him—lovely lad, his girlfriend’s really nice. We were flying to LA, and I just said, ‘Hey, we should take a picture together. We’re both wrestlers; I’ll put it on the internet, give you a little rub,’ and people reacted crazy.”

Nonetheless, the Scottish Warrior is clearly laser-focused on his upcoming Strap Match against CM Punk at WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31st, so we will have to wait and see who will triumph in the match when all is said and done.
