Cody Rhodes is the Undisputed WWE Champion and has been seen as a solid champion by many. With that said, he has now addressed concerns about possibly losing his WWE poster boy position.

Roman Reigns made a surprise return at SummerSlam and immediately changed the landscape of WWE, but has not been seen since the August 16th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, as Jacob Fatu returned and destroyed The Tribal Chief.

While speaking during the Bash in Berlin post-show media scrum, Cody Rhodes was asked if he has any insecurities about losing his WWE poster boy position. Cody Rhodes revealed that he doesn’t see Roman Reigns’ return as a source of insecurity or concern, but rather as a significant challenge.

Rhodes acknowledges that being the “poster boy” of WWE is an incredible feeling, though he understands it won’t last forever. Rhodes is determined to fight for his position, especially with the competition from figures like Roman Reigns, John Cena during his farewell run, and even CM Punk. He considers it a positive challenge, both in the ring and behind the scenes, noting that the competition between them is honest, with the better man ultimately prevailing.

”They’re not insecurities and concerns, but I’d be naive to not acknowledge the challenge. I love this and maybe just going off my last answer, one of the things, again I’ve had a lifetime of experience to get ready for this, that’s the biggest challenge for me in terms of what’s the new task for me? Again, the idea being the poster boy and all, my gosh, that’s an amazing feeling. That’s special. It will end at some point but I will put up every bit of a fight and it’s not just Roman Reigns, it’s John Cena’s farewell run. I’m up there in very rare air with special characters, with people like CM Punk. I would say it’s a great problem to have for WWE and I think, strictly speaking, the man you mentioned and myself, we’d like that. We have pitted ourselves against ourselves not just at WrestleMania in the main event but in every aspect behind the scenes too and not in a dishonest way, in an honest way. Better man’s gonna win and that’s a good problem to have.’

Cody Rhodes is also interested in a rematch with Roman Reigns. Regardless, he already defeated Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin today, so we’ll have to see what’s next in store for The American Nightmare.
