The Hurt Business, which included Bobby Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin, made a significant impact in WWE, boosting the careers of its members and gaining a loyal following. Despite their success, the group disbanded in 2021, leaving many fans disappointed. However, there are now expectations that the faction could be revived in AEW.
Roman Reigns himself felt the faction’s breakup was premature, sentiment echoed by Bobby Lashley, who described the disbandment as something that “hurt his heart.” Many fans shared this disappointment, especially after MVP recently claimed that Triple H refused to revive The Hurt Business, sparking considerable controversy.
As reported earlier, Bobby Lashley is no longer part of WWE and neither is MVP, as both are free to do what they want. Naturally, many fans wonder if they will end up reuniting soon as well.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, many believe Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin could revive their Hurt Business gimmick as “The Hurt Syndicate” in AEW. All three are free to appear, and it ultimately depends on Tony Khan’s decision.
”A lot of people think Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin, reviving their Hurt Business gimmick as The Hurt Syndicate will end up in AEW. They are all free to appear and it comes out down to Tony Khan.”
Previous reports also suggest that the Hurt Business could be poised to make return in AEW, so we’ll have to see what will become of the faction in the end should they debut in Tony Khan’s company.
