WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin made a shocking return to in-ring action at WrestleMania 38, where he squared off against Kevin Owens, coming out of retirement after 19 years. Since that match, Austin has not competed again and now he has addressed potentially making his in-ring return again in WWE.

WWE was in talks to involve ”Stone Cold” Steve Austin in some capacity during WrestleMania 40 weekend, but he never appeared at the Premium Live Event. Jim Ross would explain the likely reason why he wasn’t at the show as well.

WrestleMania 41 is getting a lot of attention, with WWE confirming it will be in Las Vegas. The event is set for April 19 and April 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium. Recently, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin hinted that he might appear at WrestleMania 41, which has excited many fans.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, Austin reflected on his experience two years ago when he returned to the ring without proper preparation. He acknowledged that he wasn’t in the same shape as he used to be, and his timing was off due to not having practiced in a ring for years.

Austin mentioned that legends like Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and Triple H were right in their observations about the challenges of returning to the ring after a long absence. Hogan pointed out that Austin’s body wasn’t ready, The Undertaker noted the lack of timing, and Triple H emphasized the uncertainty of what Austin could bring after so much time away.

Despite these challenges, Austin expressed that WWE has a strong roster full of talent, ensuring that WrestleMania 41 will be entertaining. However, he didn’t rule out the possibility of being involved in the event and competing if it could contribute positively to the show and satisfy the fans.

”But to get in there, put trunks on, and to try and be the guy that I once was … I did that, two years ago and tried to do something but I never had a ring to practice in.

(Hulk Hogan) hit it right on the head where he goes, ‘Well, he’s not calloused up. His body isn’t going to be ready for what he feels.’ Undertaker hit it right on the head when he said his timing was not going to be there, which it wasn’t, because I didn’t have any timing. Triple H hit it right on the head where he goes you never go out there, you never know what you’re going to go out there with because you don’t know what you have. You haven’t been in a ring in 20 years. And I didn’t know what I had.

But there’s so much going on. They got such a stacked roster with so many great superstars these days that they’re not going to have any problem filling two nights of entertainment. But if I got out there and be a part of it on one hand and do something positive that works for the company and works for what they want to do, and it satisfied a crowd, I’d be happy to.”

Steve Austin is also considerably jacked and clearly in great shape after making it clear he wants to be at WrestleMania 41. In fact, CM Punk has also expressed interest in facing Steve Austin at WrestleMania 41, so we’ll have to see if the Texas Rattlesnake does return to the ring at WrestleMania 41.
