Mercedes Mone’s arrival in AEW has significantly reshaped the promotion’s landscape. As the TBS Champion as well as the NJPW Women’s Strong Champion, Mone encounters lots of fans. In fact, Mercedes Mone ended up brutally chopping a podcast host recently.
Mercedes Mone is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in all of AEW right now and with that comes a diverse selection of fans. While a lot of fans are happy to watch from the sidelines, some fans tend to get up close and personal in one way or the other.
College Football Overtime host Denton Day took to Twitter and uploaded a couple of videos and photos of himself, which showed him getting legitimately chopped by the CEO of AEW. Unsurprisingly, her chop turned his chest beet red and he said he would be icing it.

Mercedes Mone most recently defended her TBS Championship against Britt Baker at AEW All In and is looking forward to her next program on AEW television. Nonetheless, the podcast host likely wanted to be chopped by Mone for a long time and his dreams were finally fulfilled, which is all that mattered to him.
