The world lost a pro wrestling legend when Sycho Sid passed away. He received a tribute on WWE RAW’s August 26 episode, and his name will likely receive a tribute during the August 30 episode of SmackDown in some form or fashion. His influence was seen all over the world, and the public is still speaking out to pay tribute.

A sign remembering Sid can be seen on the road as someone in Memphis, Tennessee devoted their digital sign to a tribute message. Now, Sid’s image is on the roadside, which will undoubtably attract attention.

The sign also included a message that read, “We miss you Sid Vicious Rest In Peace Brother”

At the time of his death, Sid lived with his wife in Marion, Arkansas. That being said, his influence stretches across the globe. His contributions to the ring will be remembered forever for his WrestleMania moments alone.

Sycho Sid was a legendary WWE Superstar known for his towering presence and intense persona. He had several memorable WrestleMania matches during his WWE career, including headlining two of the biggest events in WWE history.

At WrestleMania VIII in 1992, he faced Hulk Hogan in the main event, marking Hogan’s return to WrestleMania in a match that ended in a disqualification due to interference. His other major WrestleMania appearance was at WrestleMania 13 in 1997, where he defended the WWE Championship against The Undertaker in the event’s main event, ultimately losing the title in a hard-fought battle.

Sadly, Sycho Sid didn’t receive a WWE Hall of Fame induction during his lifetime. We will have to see if one is coming down the road, but it would be easy to find enough reasons to induct him just based on his WrestleMania angles.

Keep checking back with Ringside News for more on this story and so many more. You never know where pro wrestling will pop up next in everyday life. Fans who see that tribute to Sid on their way to work will certainly have a smile on their face, but it won’t be as bright and menacing as Sycho Sid’s own toothy grin.
