AEW’s 2024 All In event was a massive night for the company. Tony Khan was very pleased with the turnout as over 50,000 fans made it to the show. At the end of the day, they were just a few thousand shy of WWE’s turnout for SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland Browns Stadium.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that AEW All In at Wembley Stadium was listed to have a crowd of 53,385. To compare, WWE’s SummerSlam earlier this month was listed to have an attendance of 57,791. Despite SummerSlam’s higher ticket prices, AEW’s ability to draw a crowd comparable to WWE’s biggest summer event is a significant achievement.

This is especially noteworthy given that this year’s show didn’t benefit from the novelty of AEW’s first European event, as they also taped television in the UK. This factor drove much of last year’s record attendance. Wembley Stadium, which can hold 94,000, offered service workers the chance to purchase tickets by only paying the service charge, though these were limited to the upper deck.

Additionally, it was noted that AEW provided complimentary tickets to wrestlers from independent promotions in London and Southeast England. Interestingly, AEW did not immediately release attendance figures, making the situation unusual, though Tony Khan shared some numbers a few days later.

It was further reported that the paid attendance at All In ranks as the fourth largest ever in the U.K., a country with a rich pro wrestling history dating back to the late 1800s. It follows last year’s All In, the 1992 WWF SummerSlam at Wembley Stadium, and Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales, which had 53,999 paid attendees. The gate for All In would be the third largest, trailing last year’s All In, $10.1 million, and Clash at the Castle, $8.1 million. In terms of paid attendance, AEW was likely close to this year’s SummerSlam in Cleveland, although the gate was much lower.

Tony Khan was very pleased with All In’s turnout, and it gave his company a nice boost of momentum. Only time will tell how they stack All Out on September 7, but they aren’t slowing down at all right now.

What’s your take on All In’s turnout? Do you think it was better than WWE’s SummerSlam event this year? Which event did you enjoy most? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
