Mickie James Hints at WWE Return in New Role

Mickie James competed in TNA for the past couple of years before she parted ways with the promotion last year. She hasn’t been an active member of the WWE roster for a long time and she has now hinted at a WWE return in a new role.

The six-time Women’s Champion parted ways with WWE in 2021. Her husband, Nick Aldis, later joined the company and took on the role of SmackDown’s General Manager last year.

During a recent interview with Ring The Belle, Mickie James talked about the possibility of returning to WWE to reunite with her husband. She hinted at a potential comeback, suggesting she might serve as his assistant on SmackDown. James also expressed her admiration for Aldis, praising his performance as General Manager and sharing how proud she is of him.

“[When is Mickie James coming in?] Oh, I don’t know. I’m so proud of him. He’s doing so great. [That would be cool (James returning)] It would be. I could be his assistant maybe. [Sexytary?] Sexytary, that’s my new name. [And then take over the title, obviously.] Yeah, cuz I’m the secretary, so I can just write it in, schedule it. There’s always an opportunity there.] Well, you never know. You never know. No, I’m so proud of him. He’s doing great. I think he’s killing it.”

Mickie James is also busy with her role in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether James will end up returning to WWE, as fans would love to see her back in some capacity.
