LA Knight is one of the top stars in WWE right now, and he has finally become a champion. With that said, the Megastar has revealed what he plans to do with his US Title reign.
LA Knight won the WWE United States Title at SummerSlam after defeating Logan Paul, in a moment that certainly made fans happy. It was then revealed that Knight signed multi-year deal with WWE as well.
While speaking in a recent interview on La Causerie, LA Knight was asked if the United States Championship needed to become more important. He didn’t give a direct answer but made it clear that he plans to make the title a big deal during his time as champion. Knight said he’s ready to defend the title every week if that’s what it takes to make it stand out.
Knight also mentioned that fans will see more title matches now that he’s champion, compared to when Logan Paul held the title. Knight is focused on making the championship as important as possible and assured fans that it will be defended more often with him in charge.
“Whether it needs to regain prestige or not is not for me to say. I don’t know that. All I know is that now that I’m holding it, I’m going to make it the most important title that I possibly can. And if that means I’ve got to face somebody this week, next week, or the week after, then that’s what we’re going to do.
I can, for damn sure, say that you’re going to see it defended a lot more now that it’s on me instead of Logan Paul, just by virtue of me being around a lot more. So, whether that gives it more prestige or not, we’ll see, but you can bet that it’s going to be an important title for sure.”
LA Knight has also addressed potentially letting John Cena face him for the United States Championship. Nonetheless, The Megastar is clearly doing well as the United States Champion, so we’ll have to see how he will continue to be booked in the coming weeks.
