Giulia Hopes to Retain Her Name After WWE Transition

Giulia’s surprise appearance at NXT Stand & Deliver marked a significant milestone in her wrestling career. After recently overcoming a wrist injury, she is now poised to make her WWE debut later this year. With her move to WWE on the horizon, Giulia is ready to take her career to the next level but hopes she gets to keep her name in WWE.

Giulia later announced that her final date in Japan would be on August 25th, where she competed in a gauntlet match against numerous Marigold talents. In her final match, she put over one of her rivals, marking the end of her tenure in Japan.

After the match, Giulia delivered an emotional promo, expressing her gratitude to the fans in attendance. She bid farewell to everyone in Japan, leaving them with the heartfelt message that Marigold will continue to shine forever.

While speaking to Tokyo Sports, Giulia was asked about her ring name after she makes her way to WWE. The Japanese Superstar made it clear that she hopes she can still keep her name.

”I don’t know what will actually happen [with my name], but I hope that the Giulia name will remain.”

It is to be noted that stars such as Asuka were first introduced as Kana before WWE changed her name, so a name change isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

We have also reported that Giulia is also expected to make alterations to her in-ring style once she makes her WWE transition. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Giulia will get to keep her name once she becomes a full-time WWE Superstar, as there is certainly a ton of excitement for her future in the company.
