Former WWE Writer Secures Role in MLW

There are many former WWE names who have left the company and joined elsewhere and helped other promotions with their skills and it appears this includes a former NXT writer, who is now joining MLW.

As previously reported, Nick Bonanno, who had been a writer and producer for the NXT Creative Team since 2022, left WWE back in February of this year. Bonanno’s departure represented another change in the creative direction of NXT. The brand is now led by Shawn Michaels and his team, who carefully develop the storylines and creative elements of the show.

The upcoming Major League Wrestling event, Summer of the Beasts, is set for August 29 at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York. As the show approaches, PWInsider has reported that former WWE NXT writer and producer Nick Bonanno will be involved in the event. He is expected to work as a producer for MLW.

Nick Bonanno is not the only former WWE name to be involved as a producer for MLW as former WWE Superstar Paul London has joined MLW in the role of a producer as well. Regardless, MLW is clearly trying to make some significant changes, so we’ll have to see how successful they will be in their endeavor.
