During the Triple H era of WWE, there has been a notable shift towards prioritizing quality over quantity, particularly evident in the reduction of matches on Premium Live Event cards. In light of this, the reason behind shorter cards for Premium Live Events has been revealed.

There is an ongoing debate regarding the length of Premium Live Event cards nowadays. Gone are the days of incredibly long events, as the company clearly prefers shorter cards. However, some fans argue that shorter cards for shows ultimately harm many WWE Superstars.

Fightful Select reports that WWE plans to continue with shorter Premium Live Event match cards, as they have been pleased with the results. The company has indicated that this format works well for them, as it helps enhance Raw and SmackDown.

This approach is particularly beneficial when Friday Night SmackDown is held in the same city as the following night’s Premium Live Event, making the overall process easier for the company.
