Jon Moxley, who had been absent from AEW television since Forbidden Door, made a dramatic return on the August 28 edition of AEW Dynamite. He came into the ring and met Tony Schiavone and conveyed a message that was both clear and enigmatic.

Moxley revealed that he was there to address Darby Allin, who was notably missing from the broadcast. “It’s about time that you and I have a talk,” Moxley said, adding, “Trust me, I’m not going to be hard to find.”

After this initial announcement, Moxley re-entered the ring, his demeanour shifting to a more serious tone. Addressing Schiavone directly, Moxley declared, “This is not your company anymore,” before abruptly exiting the scene.

The remark left Schiavone and many fans in a state of confusion. Later in the night, as Moxley was seen exiting the arena, he stopped to speak to two members of the backstage crew. Just then, Marina Shafir appeared out of nowhere to take them down before having a staredown with Moxley. Shafir and Moxley walked away together, not before Marina knocked down the cameraman as well, hinting at a possible new alliance.
