Dave Bautista, known for his impressive roles in acclaimed films, continues to be a highly sought-after talent in the entertainment industry. The former WWE wrestler has recently admitted that his current body transformation journey has been quite challenging.

Before landing the role of Drax in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, Bautista revealed he was struggling financially due to tax issues. But his portrayal of Drax launched his career, leading to prominent roles in Blade Runner 2049Dune and more.

The 55-year-old actor has recently undergone a significant body transformation, which he discussed in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet. Batista has noticeably slimmed down, mentioning that he is currently the lightest he has been since he was 19 years old. He revealed that he now weighs around 240 pounds, down from his highest weight of 370 pounds.

Batista explained that he had to gain weight for his role in the movie Knock at the Cabin but found losing the weight afterwards to be a nightmare. He noted that he was about 325 pounds when he began his wrestling career, often weighing around 290 pounds during his wrestling days.

“This is probably the lightest I’ve been since I was 19 years old. The heaviest I’ve ever been was 370 pounds. When I started Deacon, I was about 325 pounds, and throughout most of my wrestling career, I was about 290 pounds.

Now, I’m about 240 pounds. Just a year and a half ago, for Knock at the Cabin, I went up to 315 pounds. And that’s when the nightmare started. Getting that weight off has been a challenge.”

Batista even gave a custom WWE title to the director for his upcoming film ‘The Killer’s Game’ as token of appreciation. Regardless, Batista will continue to do the best work he can for all of his movies and that’s all that matters to him.
