Daniel Garcia had been absent from AEW television since the July 3 edition of AEW Dynamite’s special event, Beach Break, where MJF turned heel on him and viciously attacked him, effectively writing him off TV. However, he made a surprising return at AEW All In, and it appears AEW went to great lengths to keep his comeback a secret.
During AEW All In, Will Ospreay challenged MJF for the AEW American Championship. As the match reached its climax, Daniel Garcia made a shocking return, stopping MJF from using brass knuckles against Ospreay. This intervention allowed Ospreay to defeat MJF and become the new AEW International Champion.
According to Fightful Select, Daniel Garcia was backstage throughout the entire day, wearing a mask to conceal his identity until his surprise return during the All In pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium.
We also reported that Daniel Garcia’s AEW contract is set to expire in October this year and at the time of writing, Daniel Garcia has yet to sign a new deal with the company and is currently negotiating.
We’ll have to wait and see whether Daniel Garcia decides to re-sign with AEW, especially since it’s clear he’s set to feud with MJF following the events of All In. Fans are eager to see Garcia stay with AEW long-term and hope he becomes a megastar in the promotion.
