LA Knight has ascended to the next level in WWE following his triumph at SummerSlam 2024. The Megastar defeated Logan Paul to capture the United States Championship at the Biggest Party of the Summer, much to the ovation of the fans.

However, much like many superstars, LA Knight also had a most embarrassing moment in his wrestling career. During a recent appearance on Gorilla Position, LA Knight recounted the incident that occurred during his entrance at the TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view in 2016.

LA Knight, who was set to face Bram, accidentally botched his entrance. While performing his signature entrance move, where he raises his arms on the front buckle, he accidentally backflipped over the rope and landed on his feet—a mistake that wasn’t planned.

Realizing the mistake, LA Knight quickly decided to play it off. During the match, after throwing Bram outside the ring, he intentionally repeated the move, backflipping again from the ropes, this time on purpose. He sold it big, hoping that the audience would think the initial botch was deliberate.

“I think it was like Slammiversary 2016 or something. It was me and Bram. I’m doing my entrance and I pop up, up on the front buckle to do this thing [raising his arms]. And as I do that, I backflip over the rope and land on my feet. Completely by accident. Completely messed it up. I don’t know what happened. I just got a little too overzealous and went… And I just sold it with the face and everything. And I’m thinking, ’S***! I’m going to be on f***ing Botchamania now.’” “And I’m like… I said, ‘I know how to fix this.’ So, at some point in the match, I cut off Bram. I sh*tcan him into the outside. And then I get on the rope, and I do it again and I backflip on purpose this time, and then sell it all big. And I’m like, ‘Now they are going to think I did it on purpose.’”

LA Knight recently made his first successful title defence against Santos Escobar on the August 23 edition of SmackDown. Later in the show, the Megastar issued an open challenge for his title in Berlin, Germany, ahead of WWE’s upcoming PLE Bash in Berlin. While LA Knight managed to cover up his botch swiftly, he would never forget it as the most embarrassing moment of his career.
