Kayla Braxton had been part of the WWE family since 2016, but her run with the company concluded after the June 28th edition of Friday Night SmackDown. She has now promised fans will get to see her soon in a role outside of pro wrestling.
Following the June 28th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes gave an emotional farewell to Kayla Braxton, marking the end of her impressive eight-year career with WWE. With her departure from the company, Braxton is now free to explore new opportunities and advance her career outside of WWE.
After her WWE exit, Braxton has been discussing her future in media through various interviews. Shortly after her departure, she made headlines by announcing that she had recently wrapped up production on “Stranglehold,” a new comedy thriller.
In a recent interview with The Wrestling Classic, Braxon shared that she has been very busy since leaving WWE. She mentioned that she is working on multiple projects, including hosting new shows and producing a show she’s passionate about. Additionally, she is working on a memoir that she had started previously but paused. Becker emphasized that she is keeping busy with new opportunities and hinted that fans will soon see her in a non-wrestling role.
“I’m working on a ton of stuff, I’ve been very busy since I left. I am currently in — I can’t talk about too much stuff but I’m currently in the works of hosting some new shows. I have been writing and pitching a show that I’m producing, which is right now my passion project, I think it’s gonna be great. I’m also writing a memoir right now that I started writing a long time ago and kind of put a pause on it, so I’ve been rewriting that. I’m definitely keeping busy and getting to work on things that I didn’t have the time to do or wasn’t allowed to do in my previous position. By the time this airs, it’ll be about two months since I left WWE. Don’t fear, you’re about to see me again. Not in wrestling, because there’s other things besides wrestling.”
We have also reported that WWE has left the door open for Braxton to return to the company one day. Only time will tell when fan will see her in a non-wrestling role, as they are excited for her future.
