WWE’s NXT brand and TNA Wrestling have a lot going on right now, as their partnership came out of nowhere. That brought Jordynne Grace, The Rascalz, Joe Hendry, and more to the black and gold brand. This is an opportunity that Alexander Hammerstone wouldn’t waste.
As NXT and TNA Wrestling continue their collaborative efforts, with talent from both promotions appearing on each other’s television programs throughout the year, one notable name has yet to make his debut on NXT television, Alexander Hammerstone. However, the powerhouse wrestler is more than ready to seize the opportunity if it comes his way.
In a recent interview on the Mark Hoke Show, Hammerstone shared his mindset going into this year. Although Hammerstone hasn’t received the call just yet, he wouldn’t waste that chance to perform in NXT.
“I went into this year saying, ‘whatever comes my way, I’m going to try and knock it out of the park.’ I’m not expecting the world to be handed to me. I don’t care what I’m asked to do. Whatever it is, I’m going to go in there with my working boots on and do my best job. If that means I’m one of the guys who gets an opportunity at NXT, then I’m going to treat it like it’s the most important opportunity in the world.’
Hammerstone is currently set to compete in an Ultimate X match at TNA Emergence for the TNA X-Division Championship, but his eyes remain open for whatever new challenges may arise, including a possible stint on NXT.
Triple H already made it clear why TNA Wrestling and TNA Wrestling have this deal. It gives NXT talent a new stage to perform on, and that is something that they want for their talent. The upside for TNA Wrestling is obvious, because they get to have their talent appear on WWE television during a booming period for the company.
Performing in NXT must be a great notch in the belt for any TNA star, especially if they can gain even more momentum in their home company because of it. Only time will tell who steps through that Forbidden Door next, but it appears that both companies are very happy with their deal right now.
