“Psycho” Sid Vicious made a remarkable impact in professional wrestling with his rapid rise to prominence. Recently, Sid has passed away and further details about his death have emerged.
Gunnar Eudy, the son of the legendary wrestler shared the sad news on Facebook that his father has passed away after long fight with cancer. He was only 63 years old at the time of passing.
“Dear friends and family, I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years. He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon. Thank you for your support.”
Gunnar Eudy took to his Facebook and made another post regarding his father’s demise. Sid had been battling significant health issues, including congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation, and had a pacemaker. In April 2021, he was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which was associated with exposure to roundup weed killer.
Despite his health struggles, Sid continued to live life actively, attending the gym, participating in boxing classes, and making appearances for fans. He passed away peacefully in his bed, leaving behind a legacy of strength and resilience.
“He was known as Psycho Sid Vicious to the world, but to our family, he was simply ‘Popper,’ the beloved grandfather.
Sid was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2016 and atrial fibrillation (better known as AFIB) around the same time. He was also given a pacemaker. In April 2021, he was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which was linked to roundup weed killer.
Although he never told anyone about his fight against cancer, Sid lived his life to the fullest, attending the gym, boxing classes, making appearances for his fans, and of course t-ball games for the kids. He passed away peacefully in his bed, leaving behind a legacy of strength and determination. I’ve never met anyone with a fraction of the strength as my father he truly was one of a kind.
Thanks everyone for the uplifting words and love we definitely feel it we have received thousands of messages and are grateful for everyone of them. I don’t have time to reply but I have read them all thank you thank you thank you!
Signed, Gunnar Eudy”
