Dominik Mysterio Sets Terms for Considering Rey Mysterio as His Father Once More

Dominik Mysterio had been involved in a memorable storyline with Liv Morgan for the past few weeks, but he still hasn’t forgotten how much he hates his father Rey Mysterio. With that said, he has now set the criteria that must be fulfilled in order for Dominik to consider Rey Mysterio as his father again.

Since Dominik Mysterio betrayed his father, Rey Mysterio, their feud has been intense and unrelenting. Dominik played a significant role in pushing Rey to move to SmackDown, with the Judgment Day consistently showing disrespect towards the WWE Hall of Famer.

The rivalry between Dominik and Rey flared up again on RAW after the LWO was drafted to the brand. Dominik has been vocal about his disdain for his father, expressing his feelings both on television and during live events.

While speaking on the Cheap Heat podcast, Dominik Mysterio explained that for him to consider Rey Mysterio a father again, Rey would need to publicly acknowledge his defeat in a dramatic manner.

This would involve Rey getting on his knees in the middle of the ring, removing his mask, and presenting it to Dominik as a symbolic gesture of submission. Rey would then have to declare that Dominik is the greatest Mysterio of all time, bowing to him in the process. Dominik stated that while he is already taller than Rey, he wants Rey to feel even lower and recognize Dominik’s superiority.

“He would have to publicly get on his knees in the middle of the ring in front of me, take off his mask, unmask himself willingly, hand it to me like he’s presenting it as some sort of offering, and declare that I am the greatest Mysterio of all time. As he gives it to me, he would need to get down and bow to me. I would take the mask and carry on the legacy as the greatest Mysterio that ever lived.

I’m already taller than him, so I don’t need to be above him, but I want him to feel that much lower and know how much superior I am to him.”

Rey Mysterio wasn’t surprised by Dominik Mysterio betraying Rhea Ripley at WWE SummerSlam. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Dominik and Rey Mysterio will be able to mend fences.
