WWE is truly the powerhouse in global professional wrestling and has been making notable efforts to expand into new markets recently. In light of this endeavor, Cody Rhodes has now teased WWE holding a Premium Live Event in Belgium.

For the past couple of years, WWE has made it a point to hold Premium Live Events outside of the US. The likes of Backlash, Elimination Chamber, Clash at the Castle and more certainly come to mind in that regard but so far, no Premium Live Event has ever taken place in Belgium.

On August 26, WWE held a live event in Brussels where Cody Rhodes defeated AJ Styles in the main event to retain his title. After the match, Rhodes noticed a fan’s sign that said “Belgium Wants A PLE.”

The American Nightmare addressed the crowd, saying that with the energetic reactions throughout the night, it felt like Belgium truly deserves a Premium Live Event. He even asked Byron Saxton if Belgium deserves a Premium Live Event and he said yes as well.

”Belgium wants a PLE? I’m sorry I couldn’t hear you, do you guys want a PLE? Byron, do you think Belgium deserves a PLE? [Byron Saxton says yes]

It kinda seems like you guys are getting a PLE.”

Cody Rhodes also previously advocated for Premium Live Event in Mexico and even Italy. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether fans in Belgium will get their wish and will finally get to see a Premium Live Event take place there.
