Tony Khan’s extensive roster has made it difficult for many wrestlers to get television time on AEW. Brock Anderson, the son of Arn Anderson, was among those affected and was released by AEW last year. He has since criticized the company for not providing adequate facilities and opportunities for young talent to develop.

As previously reported, Brock Anderson was removed from AEW’s roster page back in October last year and this did not come as surprise to many either. Brock Anderson would then comment on his departure as well.

While speaking in a recent interview with the Under The Ring Podcast, Brock Anderson reflected on his time with AEW, acknowledging that he wasn’t fully prepared for his role there and needed more experience outside of televised wrestling. He noted that, in hindsight, he realized he wasn’t ready for the position because AEW was a new company and offered limited opportunities for young wrestlers to learn the business beyond what was shown on television, calling them out for the same.

“When I was at AEW, it was — hindsight is 20/20. You can look back and see that things were going to be the way they were, but I didn’t know. It was a new company. I didn’t know what was going to happen, but I don’t think, looking back now, I wasn’t ready for that because it — for young guys, there is no setup to really learn and grasp the business. It’s just basically just TV.”

In the meantime, Brock Anderson is moving forward by taking his tag team with his cousin CW Anderson to Major League Wrestling. The duo will make their MLW debut at MLW Summer of the Beasts on August 29, so we’ll have to see how he will fare in MLW since his AEW run was an uninspiring one.
