AEW All In 2024 ended with Bryan Danielson raising the company’s World Title over his head as he played with his children in the ring. This was a big moment for him, but a lot of fans are still wondering what WWE has to say about the situation.

During his Backstage Report podcast on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp shed light on Bryan Danielson’s current stance regarding a potential WWE return. Sapp revealed that Danielson has no interest in going back to WWE, even for something as prestigious as a Hall of Fame induction. The only scenario in which Danielson would consider returning to WWE is if they genuinely needed him for the sake of the wrestling industry’s overall health.

Currently, WWE has not approached Bryan Danielson, despite his status as AEW World Champion and not being under any contract. However, this lack of communication isn’t due to a lack of interest. Sapp noted,

“He’s also been transparent on saying that he doesn’t have an interest in going back to WWE, even for a Hall of Fame situation. He said that situation that would likely lead him back to WWE is if they ever really needed him for the sake of the wrestling world being healthy, and he wants to be where it makes the most sense to grow the wrestling world or help the wrestling world, if that makes sense. He had said, and I believe it was in the interview with Gorilla Position, that if WWE was healthy, a hair behind AEW, and they needed him in a competitive balance, so to speak, then he would consider doing it.”

Those I have spoken to in WWE said that even though he’s not under contract, they haven’t reached out, and it’s not a lack of interest or anything. But they said he’s widely loved within their company, and they respect his contributions to wrestling. It was kept quiet, and I didn’t get a lot of answers on that.”

Bryan Danielson put his career on the line and, during the post-event press conference, admitted that he wasn’t sure what his next step would be. What he does know is that he plans to be in Illinois for AEW Dynamite this week as the AEW World Champion, preparing for the All In fallout.

This situation is one to watch closely, as Bryan Danielson has a history of making unexpected and unique decisions in his career. Despite his statements that his time in the ring is limited, he still holds AEW’s top title without a formal contract, which could lead to significant developments in the future. This also highlights the level of trust Tony Khan places in the American Dragon. As this story unfolds, the wrestling world remains eager to see what twists and turns lie ahead for one of its most beloved figures.

What’s your take on Bryan Danielson winning the AEW World Title at All In? Do you think that Tony Khan made the right decision with that main event match? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
