AEW All In is drawing near and the company is already making plans that go beyond the pay-per-view, especially when it comes to AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. In fact, Bryan Danielson will be competing at the show, in what will be his next AEW match.
The past week has been a very significant time for AEW, as Bryan Danielson ended up defeating Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship in the main event of the AEW All In pay-per-view.
Naturally, this made fans wonder who would end up being The American Dragon’s first challenger, as there are those who feel Swerve Strickland might just invoke his rematch clause. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case whatsoever.
PWInsider reports that the main event for this year’s Grand Slam Week will feature Bryan Danielson facing Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship. This match is set to headline the AEW Grand Slam edition of Dynamite, scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.
Darby Allin had won the right to challenge for the AEW Championship after he won the Royal Rampage match last month. It is to be noted that Darby Allin is also being considered for an AEW World Championship run. Therefore, we’ll have to see who will prevail at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, as there is certainly a ton of hype for the show already.
