AEW All In was truly a memorable show from top to bottom as there were numerous solid matches and incredible moments that ensured the pay-per-view would be remembered for a long time. With that said, the likely reason why attendance for this year’s All In event hasn’t been announced is now revealed.
The All In pay-per-view featured Ricochet making his shocking debut during the Casino Gauntlet match, Bryan Danielson defeating Swerve Strickland to become the AEW World Champion and many other incredible moments that kept fans engaged throughout the show.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about why AEW hasn’t shared the attendance numbers for All In 2024 yet. He said it’s strange because WWE announced that 58,000 people attended SummerSlam, but the actual number was closer to 55,800. AEW had almost the same size crowd, around 54,800. WWE wasn’t criticized for their numbers, and Meltzer thinks they shouldn’t be because the SummerSlam crowd was great.
Meltzer doesn’t understand why AEW is hesitant to announce their attendance, suggesting that even though the event was a success, they seem worried that the actual number might be seen as a failure and feels such concern is crazy.
“This is like the weirdest thing. WWE announced 58K (for SummerSlam ) they were close to that at um, um, um, they were close to that for SummerSlam.
I think the real number was 55.8 and this real number was 54.8, so they have almost the exact same crowd size. WWE announced it, no one calls it a failure, and they shouldn’t, that crowd for SummerSlam was awesome.
This (All In) is the farthest thing from a failure but they’re afraid to announce the attendance because they think people will think the real number is a failure. It’s friggin’ crazy.”
AEW All In was a huge success, with many fans believing it was even better than last year’s event. However, it did have some issues. In the meantime, fans will have to keep waiting to see when they will finally announce their attendance for the show.
