Without Sid Vicious, I don’t think my brother and I would have made it to WCW. His impact on this business was undeniable, and he paved the way for so many of us. My deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time. #RIPSid

Rest well, Sid. I’ll forever appreciate the good times. The microchip pitch to @CWFHMarquez ! Making the sheriff’s dept drive 100mph+ from Tulsa to Enid with lights/sirens blaring only to get there when the show was over. NEVER EVER a dull moment. Life is too short. Godspeed. ❤️🙏

Sid Vicious began his wrestling career in the late 1980s and quickly made a name for himself when he signed with NWA/WCW in 1989. By 1990, he was a member of the iconic Four Horsemen. In 1991, Sid joined WWE and went on to headline WrestleMania 8 against Hulk Hogan. After a brief return to WCW in 1993, where he main evented the first-ever Fall Brawl in a WarGames match, Sid came back to WWE in 1995. During this period, he achieved his greatest success, winning the WWE World Title twice and headlining WrestleMania 13.

Sid’s final significant run was in WCW from 1999 to 2001, where he captured the WCW World Heavyweight Title twice. Unfortunately, his full-time career ended in 2001 after he suffered a severe injury, breaking his tibia and fibula at WCW Sin. Despite this setback, Sid continued to make appearances on the independent circuit and returned to WWE in 2012 for a match against Heath Slater. He wrestled his final match in 2017.

As the wrestling world remembers Sid, his larger-than-life presence, both in and out of the ring, will be deeply missed. His legacy as one of the sport’s most formidable competitors will be remembered for generations.
