Kevin Owens Reveals Mother’s Health Status After Hospitalization

Kevin Owens has had an impactful career, competing against some of the biggest names in the industry. In addition to his wrestling career, Owens is also a devoted family man. Recently, he shared that his mother was hospitalized. Following this, Owens provided an update on her health condition, giving fans insight into her current status.

During the July 5th episode of WWE SmackDown, Owens disclosed that his mother had been in the hospital battling an illness. He shared that he had spent the week leading into SmackDown watching his mother put up fierce fight.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Kevin Owens talked about the aforementioned promo on Friday Night SmackDown and provided an update on his mother’s condition. Owens mentioned that she is doing much better now after a frightening period. He explained that while things were very scary for a while, his mother is now back home, which is a positive sign.

Owens described the experience as surreal, noting that everything since the moment his father called him to come home has felt like a blur. Even though it’s been almost two months, he finds it hard to believe it all happened.

“She’s doing a lot better. It got real scary for a while, and now she’s home. So it’s definitely positive, and everybody else is doing as good as they can, I guess. It’s a lot better than it was at the beginning of July … It was very surreal. I gotta be honest with you. It was almost two months ago now. Everything since my dad called me that morning and said, you gotta get home, feels like it went by in a flash. I barely remember a lot of it. It’s very odd. Even talking about it now, like, man … that actually happened.”

This is certainly terrific news for Kevin Owens and his fans, who were all worried about his mother’s well-being. Regardless, he is now focused on his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at Bash in Berlin, so we’ll have to see how he will fare in the bout.
