WWE has a lot of momentum right now, and that momentum has also led to a shake-up in their commentary team. Michael Cole and his close friend, Pat McAfee, enjoyed their time together on Monday nights, but a familiar face has now stepped in to replace the former NFL punter.

Pat McAfee announced that last week’s episode of RAW would be his last for a while, as he needs to focus on his football commentary job. WWE, with its year-round schedule, needed someone to fill that spot.

The August 26 episode of RAW kicked off with Michael Cole introducing Corey Graves as his new broadcast partner. Cole seemed pleased to announce this change, signaling that more shake-ups might be on the horizon.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Corey Graves on SmackDown. He was previously paired with Wade Barrett on the blue brand, but this shift may see Graves moving from Friday nights to Monday nights permanently. Then again, Pat McAfee has already confirmed his WWE return timetable.

Corey Graves wasted no time in embracing his heel persona alongside Michael Cole. He quickly aligned himself with the Judgment Day during their opening segment on RAW, slipping back into his old heel routine seamlessly.
