Will Ospreay is one of the biggest names in AEW and the company clearly has a very high opinion of him, especially after what transpired at All In. However, it appears AEW has hit a copyright strike on Will Ospreay, who shared a clip from his AEW All In match.
AEW’s All In at Wembley Stadium was truly a memorable event from start to finish, and one of the highlights was undoubtedly Will Ospreay defeating MJF to become the new AEW International Champion.
Will Ospreay would pull off the win by hitting the Tiger Driver ’91, which he had not used since April. Following the conclusion of the match, Will Ospreay took to Twitter and shared a clip of him hitting the move on MJF and stated that it felt good. However, many fans noticed that AEW hit the video with a copyright strike, which shocked them as it was a clip from Ospreay’s own match.
AEW has a history of engaging in mass takedowns, and one frequently associated with these DMCA actions is “Donald Stevens.” Known for removing content the company prefers not to be online, there is speculation that Donald Stevens is pseudonym used by Aubrey Edwards.
It is not really known why AEW would take down Will Ospreay’s video, as many fans felt it was absurd for the company to copyright strike The Aerial Assassin’s own match. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether AEW will address this blunder soon enough.
