AEW has a few stars who are on the injured list, but All In did see a return or two. That being said, Jay White’s fans are still waiting to see Switchblade once again. Although they may have been hopeful during All In 2024, White wasn’t ready.

Earlier this year, Jay White suffered a foot injury during his semi-final match against Hangman Adam Page in the Owen Hart Tournament on the July 6 episode of Collision. This is still an issue, and it called for AEW to call an audible for his All In plans.

Sean Ross Sapp opened up about this on his Backstage Report podcast on Fightful Select. He stated that Jay White was considered for the Casino Gauntlet match, but he wasn’t cleared.

“He was discussed and even considered for the Casino Gauntlet at one point, but he was at TV the week prior and he was there to get checked out. I was told that he’s not cleared as of yet. He’s getting closer, obviously. Based on what we heard, not so fast on Switchblade Jay White, at least imminently returning. They wanted to load up that All In Casino Gauntlet match and that was the match he was considered for.”

Jay White is getting closer to a return to action, but Jay White isn’t ready quite yet. Perhaps Tony Khan is holding off on his return for Dynamite’s fall-out after All In. Only time will tell when we see him next.

Jay White’s injury caused the Bang Bang Gang to drop their six-man titles. That shook up the roster in a big way, and now there are new champions for both sets of titles. White’s return to AEW could make a difference, but he just wasn’t ready by August 25th’s Wembley Stadium event.

WWE had interest in Jay White when he decided to take AEW’s deal instead. Now, he is injured and awaiting a return to the fold. Hopefully, he can get back as soon as possible, because Juice Robinson and the Gunns certainly miss having him around.

What’s your take on Jay White’s current injury status? Do you think that he should stay off television even longer for a more impactful return? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
