Mercedes Mone Retains TBS Championship Title at 2024 AEW All In PPV

Mercedes Mone entered AEW with significant momentum, quickly capturing both the TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Titles. At Wembley Stadium, she faced off against Britt Baker, a feud fueled by a vengeful storyline that intensified their rivalry.

The crowd was split, cheering for both Mercedes and Britt throughout the match. Baker kicked out of a powerbomb and retaliated with a cutter off the ropes. The bout continued with both competitors showcasing their skills.

Baker landed an elbow shot, a neckbreaker, and a sling blade, but the TBS Champion kicked out each time. Britt attempted to apply her signature Lockjaw, but Mercedes countered. In a surprising twist, Mone took Britt’s glove and put it on herself. Despite a series of strikes from Baker and another near-fall with an air raid crash, Mercedes managed to reclaim her glove.

Baker then tried for another air raid crash, but Mercedes escaped and attempted her finisher. The sequence saw Baker reverse a bodyslam off the top rope, nearly securing a win.

Kamille interfered in a pin attempt by pulling Mercedes’ foot under the ropes. Mercedes then tried to use the TBS Title on Baker, but Baker kicked Kamille, who had attempted to strike her with the NJPW Strong Women’s Title. Baker cleverly mimicked Eddie Guerrero, getting Kamille ejected by pretending to be hit by the title.

Baker tricked Mercedes into thinking she was attacked by Kamille and capitalized with a Panama Sunrise for a near fall. As Baker applied the Lockjaw, Mercedes bit her finger, muscled Baker up, and executed the Money Maker to retain her TBS Championship.
