JBL is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having began his journey during the Attitude Era in the late 90s. He’s not an active in-ring competitor anymore but that doesn’t mean he can’t pop up at different places. In fact, he made an unexpected appearance at GCW Homecoming.

JBL stunned the crowd by making an appearance at Game Changer Wrestling’s Homecoming event. During the main event, Mance Warner successfully defended the GCW World Heavyweight Championship in a triple-threat ladder match against former champion Joey Janela and Blake Christian.

The match’s conclusion saw GCW’s General Manager, Matt Cardona, attempting to interfere, only to be thwarted by 1 Called Manders. As Effy entered the fray to prevent Warner’s victory, JBL emerged from the crowd, taking Effy down with a punch and then delivering two devastating Clotheslines from Hell.

With Effy out of the way, Warner secured the win and retained the GCW World Heavyweight Championship. Warner has held the title since June, after cashing in his Do or Die contract to challenge Janela for the championship.

This isn’t the only surprising appearance JBL made this month as he appeared at AAA TripleMania 32 CDMX to be in Nic Nemeth’s corner. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see if JBL will end up making more surprise appearances in other promotions in the future.
