Mexican wrestler El Hijo del Vikingo, who has garnered significant attention in the professional wrestling world, has been sidelined due to a knee injury. However, he made his AAA television return for the first time after his injury.

On February 17, 2024, Vikingo partnered with Psycho Clown and Wotan at AULL Rencor Extremo but suffered a loss against Negocio Traumado. The match was stopped due to an injury to Vikingo’s right knee.

It was confirmed that he underwent the surgery successfully, and he started rehabbing almost immediately afterwards. He had to relinquish the AAA Mega Championship due to injury as well.

El Hijo del Vikingo has set his sights on regaining the AAA Mega Championship after making a notable return to the promotion’s programming this week. In the latest episode of AAA Lucha Libre, a backstage segment featuring Alberto El Patron and Konnan was interrupted by Vikingo’s reappearance.

When asked about Vikingo’s return later on, El Patron expressed clear frustration and showed no interest in discussing the former champion. He dismissed the topic, criticizing Vikingo’s appearance and questioning his language skills, making it evident that he didn’t feel obligated to provide any explanations.

“What are you doing? You are in my locker room and come here to talk about Hijo del Vikingo, who looks like a member of Kumbia Kings? He comes in sandals, he probably doesn’t even know Spanish because I do not understand the dialect coming out of his mouth. I do not need to give an explanation to anyone, much less you. So if you or anyone comes to my locker room to confront me, at least wash your mouth. Now get out.”

We have also confirmed when El Hijo Del Vikingo is set to make his in-ring return. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if Vikingo will be able to reclaim the AAA Mega Championship, that he never lost.
