Mariah May shocked the world after betraying Toni Storm last month, in a move that no one truly saw coming. She is one of the mainstays of AEW television and knows how the locker room functions. In fact, she has now hit back at claims that everyone in AEW hates each other.

The AEW locker room has been the center of controversy over the years, with various rumors and reports about backstage incidents creating significant discussion. Recently, a backstage altercation between MJF and Britt Baker stirred up considerable controversy.

In response to rumors of everyone in the AEW locker room hating each other, Mariah May expressed her disappointment to the Daily Star, noting that many of the circulating stories were incredibly false. May emphasized that the locker room gets along well, joking that she is often seen as the outlier due to her tendency to clash with others, particularly Toni Storm.

May addressed the rumors by stating that while it’s disheartening to see false information spread, she tends to ignore it, believing it to be endless speculation. She clarified that the locker room is actually quite cohesive, with the exception of herself, who humorously described her role as the troublemaker.

“I see a lot of stuff that is desperately untrue, and it’s just disappointing to read. But I don’t normally think about it because I just think it will never end. All people do is talk and speculate. But the one thing I feel like I should say is that everyone in that locker room gets on very well. I don’t know why it is rumored that we all don’t like each other. They all get along super well, it’s me that gets along with nobody and stabs people in the head with shoes. Everybody else is great.”

Swerve Strickland also claimed that AEW backstage drama rumors are all calculated sabotage. Many fans are eager for AEW to avoid backstage drama, as such rumors can hinder the company’s progress. AEW has invested considerable effort into building momentum over the years, and steering clear of internal conflicts would be crucial in maintaining their forward momentum.
